ILLUSTRATION
Illustration is a subject area that has captured my interest for a number of years, and has become the backbone of my creativity. I like to try all sorts of innovate creative expressions, but I’ll always come back to illustration as my first and most treasured love. Here you’ll find a selection of fashion illustrations series’ I have created over a number of years.
This series was completed as a freelance fashion illustrator for a well-known Muslim brand that were moving into the clothing sector. I was commissioned to both design and illustrate a clothing range for them.

Commonplace collection
For my most recent illustration venture I created a book entitled Commonplace, where I illustrated around 40 garments of high fashion 2020 collections, however adjusting the collections, using a more inclusive and diverse model casting. I feel that both the catwalk and fashion illustration sectors of the fashion industry are very ‘samey’ in terms of model types, and don’t represent the real world very well. This collection attempts to challenge that culture.
These were completed as a part of a university project where I illustrated Balenciaga collections, both new and old. This module was a personal favourite of mine. As a part of this assignment, I created a collection of illustrations inspired by other fashion illustrators so you may see some similarities between these and existing illustrative styles.

Miscellaneous collection
This collection consists of different illustrations I have created over the years. Many of them are one offs, simply drawings I've enjoyed doing in my free time. In fact, many of them I barely remember doing at all, and am not sure what collection, designer or even year they came from, which is why I love them.

Collection
This collection of 5 digitally produced artworks were designed in accompaniment with composer and musician Jannah Bell's 5 piece collection. Each design is inspired by the individual piece of music, each with a different theme and feel. These range from the sound of tidal waves to the feeling of being alone. Each artwork coveys and hints at the hidden meaning and inspiration behind each instrumental composition created by Jannah Bell.
Personalised Digital Portraits
For a number of years, an aspect of my freelance work are these personalised digital portraits I do for individual customers. It is such a fun part of my work!
